LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep 17, 2025--
CHAOS Industries, the leader in coherent distributed networking (CDN) multi-static radar, announced today that The House of Representatives has approved a $10M appropriation to enhance test and training capabilities through the use of coherent distributed networking multi-static radar technology. CHAOS Industries’ ASTRIA system is being developed for Eglin Air Force Base (AFB) as a mobile multi-object tracking instrumentation radar that Eglin AFB plans to use for supporting test and training missions.
"Never has there been a more important time to be building in defense technology," said John Tenet and Dr. Bo Marr, co-founders and co-CEOs of CHAOS Industries. “We believe this development will provide a significant validation of our technology and a testament to the grit and tenacity of our entire team, who have worked tirelessly to revolutionize what is possible in distributed sensing and defense. We believe our CDN approach is not just innovative, it’s mission critical.”
Transforming Critical Training Infrastructure
CHAOS Industries’ CDN multi-static radar systems offer a revolutionary shift in affordability, performance, and resilience. Instead of relying on single, expensive systems costing tens of millions of dollars, CDN technology utilizes multiple low-cost sensors, reducing costs by over 10x while enabling full weapons-quality tracking across a broad instantaneous field of regard. The system's performance improves as more nodes are added, creating a network effect that dramatically enhances capabilities.
Building for the Future of Defense
With more currently active conflicts worldwide than there have been at any time since the end of World War II‚ the need for advanced training capabilities has never been more urgent.
CHAOS Industries’ technology directly addresses these challenges by enabling more realistic and comprehensive training scenarios. The ASTRIA system, powered by CDN capabilities and specifically designed for long-range active radar applications, provides the scale and capability needed to prepare pilots for modern threat environments.
The company's technology portfolio includes both the ASTRIA system for long-range applications and the VANQUISH system for expeditionary active radar applications, providing a comprehensive suite of solutions for modern defense challenges.
