K9 Rocky dramatically rescued by officers after being shot

The chaotic moment when Rocky the K9 was carried by law enforcement and loaded into a Texas DPS Chopper was caught on camera by local media.
According to the US Marshals Service, it all started when Rocky sniffed out the suspect who killed Deputy Jesus Vargas hours earlier, but before Sean Christopher Davis was killed in a shootout with law enforcement he shot Rocky two times, hitting and wounding the heroic K9.
The Houston Police Department said the dog was stable and expected to survive. Rocky's handler stayed by his side the entire time. Another deputy with the US Marshals Service was shot in the arm, but is expected to be ok.
