BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb 6, 2026--

EMD Serono, the Healthcare business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany in the U.S. and Canada, in collaboration with President Trump’s administration, announced new patient access pathways to make its complete portfolio of infertility medications used for in vitro fertilization (IVF), including Gonal-f® (follitropin alfa for injection), Ovidrel® (choriogonadotropin alfa injection), and Cetrotide® (cetrorelix acetate for injection), more accessible to prescribed infertility patients in the United States.

Prescribed patients can now access a single coupon covering EMD Serono’s entire fertility medication portfolio on TrumpRx.gov. Product coupons and information on how to utilize the coupon with participating pharmacy partners are available through either TrumpRx.gov or EMD Serono’s new Fertility Instant Savings website. The Fertility Instant Savings platform provides FAQs, additional resources, and can be accessed directly or via a link on the TrumpRx website. TrumpRx.gov and our Fertility Instant Savings website will offer a simplified process for Americans pursuing medically assisted reproduction who have been prescribed one of our fertility products and are paying for their infertility medications out-of-pocket.

"Behind every fertility treatment is a person's hope and dream. Each step and effort towards easing this burdensome journey makes a real impact for these patients," said Miguel Fernández Alcalde, President of EMD Serono. "We care deeply about every patient we serve, and these new pathways to access our therapies reflect our belief that breakthrough science must reach the people who need it most."

In the United States, more than 10 million women struggle to have a baby. For many, accessing fertility treatments has been a significant barrier to starting or expanding their families. The collaboration with the Trump Administration makes it possible for the company to advance its long-standing commitment to expand access to the innovations within its fertility medication portfolio and the goals outlined in the Executive Order, "Expanding Access to In Vitro Fertilization.”

To further expand therapeutic options for patients with complex fertility issues in the U.S., EMD Serono received the FDA's Commissioner's National Priority Voucher (CNPV) for one of its fertility products that is available in many countries outside of the U.S., known as Pergoveris® (follitropin alfa/lutropin alfa), a potential therapeutic option for follicular development in women undergoing ovarian stimulation and who are candidates for concurrent therapy with FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone). This voucher is one of the first nine products selected under this initiative, designed to expedite drug review processes for products that align with critical national health priorities in the U.S.

The company’s science was instrumental in the birth of the first-ever IVF baby in the U.S. and today has supported over 6 million successful births worldwide thought its therapeutic innovations, devices, and access services to help families achieve the dream of having a child.
