If there is a hypocrisy of the year award, it will be difficult to judge. All of the companies and organizations who are moving out of North Carolina because of the transgender bathroom law just passed, present a myriad of challenges to the judges of this award. Let's look at one of the companies - PayPal. PayPal has been known for its tolerant and sensible treatment of gays. In fact, there is no employee at PayPal with anything to complain about, so what's the big deal. Well, PayPal thinks that Little Susie, who was Little Johnny yesterday, should be able to use any bathroom or changing facility he or she feels drawn to depending on how they are identifying that day. That's enough to get PayPal to back out of a proposed hugh expansion in North Carolina. Maybe they will expand in one of the many countries where they have facilities overseas. They might pick Nigeria, or perhaps Somalia, or Yemen. There, if you are suspected of just being gay, you'll be thrown off a thirty story building, burned alive or buried up to the neck and stoned. Please give us a break PayPal and all the other companies supporting this lunacy. Use your billions and come up with a solution we can all live with.
