Trump Says Iran Wants To Continue Peace Talks

RSS Feed

In a recent discussion on the status of military conflict with Iran, President Trump clarified that the U.S. is maintaining a blockade on Iranian ports, impacting their economy. Despite Iran's claims of no ongoing negotiations, the President asserted that talks are indeed happening at Iran's request, supported by Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and several other nations. This dialogue aims to offer Iran a final opportunity to sign a beneficial agreement. The President's negotiating team, including Jared Kushner and Special Envoy Steve Bannon, is spearheading these efforts, emphasizing the importance of free navigable waterways and global trade. While some regional countries are cautiously supportive, others remain suspicious. Europe, despite being within Iran's missile range, has yet to take decisive action. Dr. Sebastian Gorka, Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Counterterrorism, underscored the importance of these negotiations, highlighting President Trump's long-standing stance against Iran.
